Salt carry. Onshore wind lifts salt off the strait and deposits it on every seaward face, where it forms a film that holds moisture and grabs dust. Sea-facing units in Tanjung Tokong and along towards Gurney typically need cleaning every eight to ten weeks, against three to four months for an inland unit of the same size.
The film also causes the problem residents most often describe: glass that looks acceptable until late-afternoon light hits it, then shows a haze across the whole pane. That haze is mineral, not dirt, which is why wiping it with a household cleaner spreads it rather than removing it. Purified water is what lifts it.
Almost always, because the tower layouts in this area work in our favour. Most units have full-height sliding panel walls onto a balcony, so we clean both faces from inside the unit and from the balcony without any external access. Glass balustrades are cleaned from the balcony side and hand-detailed.
What we do not do is rope access on tower facades. If your unit has fixed picture glass with no balcony above the third floor, send us a photo before booking and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach it.
Hard water removal on balcony balustrades, which is the single most common secondary job in this area — sprinkler overspray and rain sitting on horizontal glass edges leaves mineral staining that needs the RM200 treatment rather than a normal clean.
Upholstery cleaning is the other one. Sea-facing units run high humidity with balcony doors open, and sofas and curtains in that environment hold moisture. Our documented curtain cleaning job for Mr Tobias in Tanjung Tokong came to RM670 for the living areas.
Spot something we missed within 48 hours of the job and we come back and fix it free.
Purified water and proper technique. If your glass dries streaky, it is on us to redo.
